V&A x KAZNA ASKER

Photography for Kazna Asker and Shubbak Festival at the V&A’s ‘Friday Late: Body as a Vessel’ in July 2026, marking 15 years of Shubbak Festival and celebrating contemporary Arab & SWANA arts and culture.

The series documents ‘Through the Eyes of a Bride’, Kazna Asker’s featured activation for the evening, a Yemeni henna celebration exploring bridal traditions, music, dress and design. Capturing the atmosphere, performances and details of the event, the work reflects an evening where Yemeni culture took centre stage within the V&A.
