Asma Hamdi is a London-based digital artist, designer and photographer.
Her work spans photography, graphic design, 3D, and collage, blending mediums and emotion to create images that sit somewhere between lived experience and dreams. Drawing from folklore, fashion, visual art, and cinema, she builds layered works centred around the themes of identity, memory, and resistance.
In 2024, Asma led the creative direction and design of Al Yamaniah Magazine, a 284-page pioneering visual archive and the first print publication of its kind to focus on female Yemeni artists. She successfully wove together the work of over 60 Yemeni artists through her unique visual style and eye for narrative, marking her biggest design and print project as a defining moment in her multidisciplinary practice.
With a background in fashion photography and creative direction, Asma creates narrative driven imagery that merges surreal detail with the ordinary. In addition to her own creative practice, she has assisted renowned photographers on projects for Office, Muse, Puss Puss, Tank, and clients including Urban Revivo, Jo Malone, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
