Al Yamaniah Magazine
Al Yamaniah Magazine is the first print publication dedicated to showcasing the work of Yemeni women artists, created under the editorial direction of Asma Ibrahim and the creative direction and design of Asma Hamdi. The 286-page issue brings together contributions from over 60 Yemeni women across Yemen and the diaspora, forming a collective archive of photography, illustration, poetry, and visual art. Organized into four sections —Al Dar (home), Naqsh (patterns), Ja’ala (sweets), and Than’a (tribute) — the magazine reflects on different perspectives of home while offering a contemporary lens on Yemeni culture, identity and creativity. To date, over 250 copies of the inaugural issue have been sold and stocked internationally, underscoring its impact and reach.
